Paula Adams, a Woodlands, Texas Artist, is originally from Chicago. She has been a Texas resident and a teacher most of her life. After a career in the private and public schools, she has been teaching and painting freelance for 12 years. She has earned an M.S. in Biology, and a graduate certificate from The Museum of Fine Art, Houston (Glassell School of Art). She has attended Laguna College of Art and Design for many summers on a teacher scholarship. Her work reflects her dual background in art and science as her work in watercolor, oil, pastel and acrylic paint has a bend toward nature. |
By simplifying shapes or by exaggerating color in nature, most of her natural representations have an abstract component. And some more recent work shows interest in non-representational abstract painting and multimedia.

Paula has taught leisure art classes at the Lonestar College, Montgomery, The Woodlands Art League, Conroe Art League, Art Works in Houston, and her private studio.
Specializing in adults and teens, she occasionally takes on individual children students. |
